Working the Earth is a way to share my dreams, and I work, the dream at my fingertips …
The Earth: a fascinating material!
Sweet and wet on the finger, She is a living element, rich of all possibilities …
Working the land is a way of sharing my dreams, and I work, the dream at my fingertips.
Each piece experiences an inner maturation: it already has an existence of its own before being drawn in the material and, when leaving the block, is transformed and can still surprise.
This surprise will continue through the technique of Raku, a Japanese word that includes, at the same time, the idea of Happiness and Surprise.
It is when the piece has acquired this unique and personal character, that it will continue its existence far from the workshop where it was born.
Several places in France saw me working the land. It is in Brittany, near the Pointe du Van, that I chose to create my workshop. The wind blows the wind of inspiration, where I reconnect with my roots.
It is indeed at this end of the world, between Sea, Wind and birds that one can open to the simple happiness of Being.
In this spirit, I have been looking for the Line, the Form, from the sphere to the egg, from the egg to the flight then to the dance.
If I remain, for the moment, faithful to these themes, I also chose the game of the Black and White, the game of the shadow and the light:
Black and White to tend towards the Essential,
Black and White emphasizing the purity of the Line,
Vibrant Black and White of contained colors,
Black and white again, softened by the light, furtively perceived in the heart of the work, and which plays with the Void and the Full.
Black and White finally, to make way for the Dream ….
